A Note from Noel (1600 x 500 px)

CEO: We’ve Had an Eventful Month Packed with Prominent Speakers

Dear members,

Here is another “Note from Noel” - a monthly initiative with the intention to keep you - our members - informed on our organization’s accomplishments, goals, and decisive steps towards a prosperous future. To put it simply, we want to do a better job of telling our story. The more you know about everything going on here at the Chamber, the more you can trust the success of the organization.

September concluded with our first Business After Hours event in about two years. We are proud to share that we sold out the event with 60 people in attendance at Venture X in Palm Beach Gardens. We kept this momentum for an October packed with events. Below you will find a few of our “wins” and how they align with our strategic imperatives, which ensure Palm Beach North continues to be Florida’s “Prosperity Coast.”

1. We partnered with the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County

LPBC Business Day: We were pleased to speak at “Business Day” for the Leadership Palm Beach County’s Engage Program, alongside Grasford Smith, President of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. We shared with the group what Chambers of Commerce are and the role we play in the business community.

Candidate Forum: Due to the passing of the Legendary Congressman Alcee Hastings, the Governor announced a special election to fill the seat of Congressional District 20. This district also pertains to three of our Municipalities; Lake Park, Riviera Beach, and Mangonia Park. We were grateful to partner with the Black Chamber of Commerce once again to hold a Candidates Forum asking questions related to our business community. Moderated by Angela Rozier of WPBF, the Facebook Live reached over 1000 people.

2. We have a new website.

If you haven’t noticed, we made some major changes to our website. With the help of our Chamber Trustee Member, 2Ton, we are happy to announce a fresh, sleek and new look.

Our goal with this new website is to provide our visitors an easier way to learn about our services and solutions and also to allow visitors to browse information easily. Our new website is creative, interactive and gives better access to web pages. Our current and prospective members will find useful information about our upcoming events, member information, and Chamber News on the homepage of our website.

We will be constantly updating our content with helpful information, articles, and company announcements. We hope you find our new website with a fresh look, easy to access information and we wish to establish this website as a source of information for those who visits our site.

3. We’ve had successful, sold-out events with prominent speakers all month.

Although, the Covid-19 pandemic greatly affected our events, this month we really felt the support of our Chamber community. Our Trustee event at the Eastpointe Country Club was an immense success with 40 members of our Executive Trustee Council in attendance. We were grateful to have State Senator Bobby Powell give an insightful yet charismatic legislative update for our Trustees. Our Business Before Hours did not disappoint either. We were pleased to have Commissioner Nikki Fried, Florida’s 12th Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services and passionate activist give an update as well. We ended this jam-packed month with our highly anticipated Woman of the Year Award Luncheon. It is always an honor to recognize outstanding leadership and commitment to the Palm Beach North Region.

Our successes are your successes. Everything we do is to better serve our Chamber members and elevate our Palm Beach North region. We are proud of what we have accomplished this past month and are looking forward to November.
